When you use WebGuru (website.ky) we collect: the business names you search and the website addresses you submit; your email address if you unlock a report, sign up or purchase; your name, phone number and message if you ask us to fix a site; payment metadata from Stripe (we never see your full card number); and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited). For each scan we store the report, including a screenshot of the scanned page. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We use your email to deliver your report and receipts, to follow up about it, and to send occasional product updates; every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We use your name, phone and message to reply to a fix request. We use scan data to run the analysis and to improve our checks. We do not sell your personal data.
Only the services that operate WebGuru: Google (business search and listing data: the text you type in the search box is sent to Google Places, and Google's own privacy policy applies to it), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (bot protection on forms, when enabled), and our hosting and database providers (Vercel, Neon). Reports are reachable by anyone who has the report's private link, so share it only with people you trust.
We set a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a small signed cookie (wky_lead) that remembers you already unlocked a report so you aren't asked again. Your browser also keeps your recent searches locally (it never leaves your device). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Reports and their screenshots are kept so your report link keeps working and so we can show changes between scans. Fix requests are kept while we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you delete your account, your account data is removed within 30 days. Email addresses on the unsubscribe list are retained to honour your opt-out. You can ask us to delete a report or a request at any time.
You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or ask us to delete your data. Email us at hello@website.ky to exercise any of these rights.
We use HTTPS everywhere, scrypt password hashing, and short-lived signed tokens. Stripe handles all payment data; we never store card details. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
